Abstract

In the world of politics, rhetoric is very important because if someone can apply rhetorical strategies well, it is certain that that person's goals will be achieved. Rhetoric is also defined as a branch of science that has a role in speaking or communicating and mastering it requires skills in using language appropriately. Language style is also important because it supports the rhetorical strategy used to achieve effectiveness and provide clarity and reinforcement. It would help to consider your speaking style or language when conveying a message. Rhetorical strategies also influence the successful performance of messages. In this case, the researcher revealed the rhetorical strategies and language styles used by Anies Baswedan in conveying his declaration of changes to the presidential candidate at the Mata Najwa On Stage event. The qualitative descriptive method used in this research is to provide a picture obtained from the data source and prioritize data accuracy and adequacy, emphasizing the qualitative form or validity of the data, namely the conformity between what is recorded as data and what happened in the setting under study. The object of this research is the method of delivering the declaration of change carried out by Anies Baswedan. The technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of this research show the rhetorical strategies and language styles of Anies Baswedan in conveying his declaration of change at the Mata Najwa On Stage event. The type of rhetorical strategy and language style Anies Baswedan uses can influence his audience.
